Arrest warrants were issued against nine politicians, including Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP's) Kadir Rana, Jameel Ahmed and Noor Salim Rana, Congress' Saedduzzaman, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) Bhartendu Singh and Sangeet Som, and Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) chief Naresh Tikait.
Five of the accused MLAs attended the state assembly on Wednesday amid tight security.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Sangeet Som, who has been charged for circulating a fake video online that fueled Muzaffarnagar riots, on Wednesday claimed innocence and said he is ready to face arrest if found guilty.
"I have been in my constituency (Sardana), I don't know where the police have been searching for me. Let them arrest me if they have evidence," Som told NDTV.
Muzaffarnagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Praveen Kumar told reporters that action will be taken against the accused in two days.
"Three-four politicians have been arrested; we have collected some evidence. We need some more evidence and then, very soon we can arrest them," said Kumar.
"Whoever is guilty will be arrested in two days," he said.
