Violating the ceasefire yet again, Pakistani troops opened fire from small and automatic weapons at around 6:25 am on Sunday, an Indian Army spokesperson said.
Indian troops retaliated effectively, resulting in exchanges that stopped around 10 am on Sunday, Defence Spokesman S N Acharya said.
There were no reports of casualties as four Indian posts came under fire from Pakistan troops that opened fire from five of their posts.
There have been over 90 ceasefire violations by the Pakistani troops thi8s year, the Indian Army said.
Ties between India and Pakistan have been strained lately following the killing six Indian soldiers and wounding of 13 people by Pakistani strikes along the international border in August.
