New road in Piravam named after T M Jacob

Thiruvananthapuram, September 14: Road in Piravam named after the former minister late T M Jacob.


The Vaniappadam - Vettimoodu PWD road is renamed as T M Jacob Road by the state government.

Kerala government took this decision based on the request of Thirumarady panchayat and people of Piravam constistency.

T.M Jacob who dead on October 30, 2011 has held portfolios like Education, Irrigation, Culture and Civil Supplies in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

Following his demise, his son Anoop Jacob, won from the Piravom assembly seat, earlier represented by T M Jacob. Anoop is the Minister for Food and Civil supplies in Kerala.
