Mahindra's Scorpio hits 4 lakh mark

Mumbai, Sept 10 : Automaker Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd on Tuesday announced that its SUV Scorpio has recorded sales of over 4 lakh units till date.


With sales of over 50,000 units for the past two years, the Scorpio has been on the roads for 11 years.

The company said the Scorpio outsells all SUVs and MUVs in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Orissa, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and the North East.

Speaking on the milestone, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra and Mahindra, said, "This is a very proud moment for us, as the iconic and trend-setting Scorpio has achieved yet another milestone."
