Saqlain sees potential in WI spin bowling stocks

Islamabad, Sept 9 : Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, who is currently holding a three-week spin bowling camp in the Caribbean, has said that West Indies has the potential to redefine its bowling, given the vast array of spinners emerging in the region.

According to The Daily Times, Saqlain expressed that there were some talented youngsters, who were passionate and it was showing in the camp, adding that he was working on techniques as well as their tactical approach.

Saqlain also pointed out that Sunil Narine was the focal point of West Indies' spin talent, which would be crucial in years to come, the report said.

The bowler had taken 208 wickets in 49 Tests and 288 wickets in 169 ODIs between 1995 and 2004, the report added.
