Joan Rivers honoured at New York Fashion Week

New York, Sep 8 : TV personality-comedian Joan Rivers was honoured by Benefit Cosmetics at the beginning of New York Fashion Week.

The event, held Wednesday, recognised the accomplishments of strong-minded women, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The 80-year-old praised actress Cate Blanchett for being an unassailable style icon.

"In terms of fashion, Cate Blanchett is untouchable. Also, (actresses) Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie, sticking out that leg at the 2012 Academy Awards, she looked good," Women's Wear Daily quoted Rivers as saying.

Actress Ashley Tisdale, model Chrissy Teigen, jewellery designers Jodie and Danielle Snyder and fashion designer Stacey Bendet were also honoured.
