Crude oil price of Indian Basket declines

New Delhi, Sept 6 : The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published on Friday by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to USUSD 111.93/per barrel (bbl) on Sept 5.

This was lower than the price of USUSD 112.23/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of Sept 4.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price decreased to Rs 7391.86 per bbl on Sept 5 as compared to Rs 7522.78 /bbl on Sept 4.

This was owing to price decreased in dollar terms and also because of rupee appreciation.

Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Sept 5 was Rs 66.04/USUSD against Rs 67.03/USUSD on previous trading day of Sept 4.
