Bangalore gangrape: Six get life term

Bangalore, Sept 6 : A trial court on Friday sentenced all six convicts in the gangrape case of a Bangalore law student to life imprisonment.

The court asked the Criminal Injuries Board of Karnataka to compensate the victim for mental trauma.

In October 2012, a Nepali student of National Law School of India, University (NLSIU) Bangalore was abducted and gangraped by eight men on the college campus.

The seventh accused is still absconding while the eighth accused is a minor undergoing trial at a juvenile court in the city.
