Liz Hurley to play Queen Helena in upcoming American drama

London, Sept 6 : Elizabeth Hurley is set to play the role of fictional 'Queen Helena' in the upcoming contemporary drama 'The Royals.'


According to Deadline.com, Hurley would be playing the queen, who is sexy, devious and conflicted, in the drama which is loosely based on William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', Metro.co.uk reported.

The series will centre on the character of the 48-year-old actress, who clashes with her son, the heir to the throne, and his new American girlfriend, as she struggles with her failing marriage to the King.
