US-Canadian actor Joshua Jackson has landed a role in TV series "The Affair".

The 35-year-old will play Cole, a tough cowboy who manages a ranch in Long Island that has been in the family for many generations, reports eonline.com.

This will mark Jackson's first role on TV since his science fiction TV series "Fringe" went off air in January.

In "The Affairs", Cole is married to Allison, a pancake house employee - a role essayed by Ruth Wilson.
