Maharashtra: Abusive MLA resigns

Mumbai, Aug 24 : A Shiv Sena MLA, who went on a rampage in a toll booth in Maharashtra's Nashik district on Thursday, has resigned from his position on Saturday, reports said.

Anil Kadam, a state legislator from Niphad in Nashik, sent his resignation to Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray

Kadam allegedly abused the women staff at the toll booth.

M********, I told you I am MLA and I also gave my car number. You are running the toll in my area. I will create hell for you," Kadam was quoted as saying.

He even warned of having them stripped by his female family members.

A complaint was registered against the MLA by the women staff.
