Techno India college hosts EDGE '13

Kolkata, Apr 8 : Techno India Group College, Salt Lake, Monday hosted its seventh management fest, EDGE '13, here.

The star attraction was the one of a kind laser tag competition, brought to eastern India for the first time.

It is a game of indoor war strategy, first designed by the US army for combat training.

It requires two teams, comprising four members.

The arena was designed to resemble outer space, complete with UV lights, glow in the dark obstacles, smoke and lasers.

A total of sixteen teams participated in the event.

Celebrities including Debdut Ghosh, Indrashish Roy, Gaurav Chakraborty, Ridhima Ghosh and Cactus vocalist, Shidhu, could not seem to have enough of the game, in their celebrity rounds.

Debdut Ghosh confessed,"I got to live like a child, at forty-two."

He affirmed that the game was not only harmless but also educational on grounds of opposing warfare.

The winners were handed over a trophy and a prize money of Rs 20,000.

The runners up were also given a trophy and prize money worth Rs 10,000.

Organised by the Techno student body, and equipment setup by Essel World, Mumbai the event was nothing short of a success.
