Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla defended the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in the Rajya Sabha.
"A statement has already been made by the Coal Minister. All points have been clarified. There is no need for the PM to come to the House and make a statement," he said.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav demanded the PM's statement on falling rupee as it hit 65.12 versus US dollar on Thursday.
