Woman's body recovered after 5 months

Bangalore, Aug 21 : A 53-year-old woman's decomposed body was recovered five months after her death from her Indiranagar residence in Karnataka's Bangalore city, said police on Wednesday.

"The body is that of Shanthi Reddy. She was living alone and it seems nobody visited her for the last 4-5 months. Hence no one got to know about her death," said an official of Indiranagar police station.

"It seems she died at least five months back," he said.

"We were informed by her brother who discovered her body late Monday evening," the official said.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
