Present at the launch was music director of the movie Joy Sarkar along with singers Shilajit Majumdar, Rupankar, Raghav Chatterjee and Lopamudra who have lent their voice in the movie.
The lyrics for the songs have been penned by Suchandra Chowdhury.
Also present at the event were actors Koushik Sen, Rahul, Sohini Sarkar and others along with producers Firdausul Hassan and Probal Haldar
Joy Sarkar said, "The occurrence of the music in the movie is very interesting. The whole story revolves around the songs of the movie. There are total five songs in the movie and all five of them are composed in such a way that they serve the need of the film."
He added, "The movies made by Atanu Ghosh always have depth in it and so are the songs."
"I am also composing songs for three upcoming movies 'Antaral', 'The Play' and Atanu Ghosh's 'Ek Faali Rod'," Sarkar said.
Commenting on the launch of the music album, Mahua Lahiri, the director of Asha Audio said, "After a long time we are launching any film music. We generally don't launch film music, but when Atanu da (Ghosh) approached with the songs of this movie, I liked it and wanted to be associated with this movie."
"As you all know the music industry is going through a phase of transition, at this point I won't say that the success of Asha Audio's last album was commendable. But it was not a disappointing one too," she said while commenting on the hard phase that the music industry is going through.
"The film revolves around the character Shishir Roy, a 72 year old man reaching out to an extended family by lending ears to people sitting on a park bench and he touches upon their minds trying to change their thoughts, and in turn their lives, played by Soumitra Chatterjee." said Atanu Ghosh.
"The other five characters in the movie face certain problems of their own and Shishir Roy always entertains their problems. This is how the story goes," the director added.
"The story of the film revolves around the songs that Joy (Sarkar) has composed. If anyone misses the songs then they will miss a huge part of the movie," he asserted.
Lyricist Suchandra Chowdhury said, "I am associated with Atanu for 18 years. Not only by giving lyrics but in many other ways. Atanu is very clear about what he wants from me as a lyricist so it was easy for me to do my work."
"I am playing a role of a typist named as Biswanath. In today's world of computers, the value of typist is becoming very less and that's where my character is facing a problem in the film. In this film, I meet Soumitra Chattopadhay in a park and the story revolves how he comes into my life and changes it," said Rahul.
"This is my first movie release. I am doing two other films with Mainak Bhaumik. I formed my company 12 years back and due to some turmoil was waiting for a good time to launch a Bengali movie. I liked the script and so decided to produce the movie," said the producer of the film, Firdausal Hassan.
The film is set to hit the theatres on Sept 6.
