India's first LEGO Brand Store launched

Chennai, Aug 12 : Toy company Funskool India Ltd on Monday said it has launched India's first LEGO brand store in Chennai.


Located at Phoenix MarketCity, Velachery, the new LEGO brand store is a first of its kind and will display and sell the entire LEGO product range.

The Denmark based LEGO Group is well known for its building bricks and it is one of the largest toy companies in the world.

Since 2010, Funskool has been distributing LEGO products across the country, ensuring its presence and popularity across 250 stores.

Spread over 1300 sq. ft, the new LEGO brand store will feature an enormous and extensive range of LEGO toys.



Speaking on the occasion, Arun Mammen, Chairman, Funskool India Ltd, said, "Funskool has been at the forefront of enthralling children with a wide range of toys, games and puzzles. Taking this mission ahead, we seek to offer a more experiential touch point where children get to explore the vast range of construction toys and exciting games."

"The LEGO brand store is a step forward in this direction. We want them to take back wonderful memories of the store and look forward to them coming back again all through the year," Mammen said.

Commenting on the new store launch, John Baby, Chief Executive Officer, Funskool India Ltd, said, "We are delighted at setting up the first LEGO brand store in Chennai. The store will showcase the entire range of products from LEGO and will surely be a one stop shop for LEGO enthusiasts. We are sure the store will receive high footfalls and receive a very good response".
