The fellowship challenges youngsters to inspire people on judicious consumption of resources through creative means using music, dance, theatre, drama, film, photography, art and handicraft, design and technology.
Initiated last year in Delhi and Hyderabad the enrolled fellows were given the task of creating a new social context in their respective cities which encourages people to green their behaviour.
At a ceremony held in Hyderabad to mark the completion of one year of the program,fellows in the age group of 18 to 23 years highlighted the need for judicious consumption of natural resources like water, energy, transport through drama, music and dance.
The selected projects willbe implemented in 2013, with the aim to inspire, engage and motivate positive change in urban consumption.The fellows will be felicitated for their outstanding commitment and dedication towards the campaign by the Nokia India and Oxfam India officials.
Speaking about the first anniversary of the fellowship, P. Balaji, VP and MD, Nokia India said, "We are extremely happy and proud to celebrate successful completion of the first year of Create to Inspire fellowship program.
