BSE Sensex slides on outlook, Cyprus
Mumbai, Mar 22 : The BSE Sensex fell 0.30 percent on Friday as blue chips suffered from continuing political instability and concerns of rate cuts.
The 30-share benchmark index ended 57.27 points lower at 18,735.60 with 18 of its components closing in the red.
The broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index ended 0.13 percent or 7.40 points lower at 5,651.35 on Friday.
Investors also tracked slides in Asian shares over the economic crisis in Cyprus while the situation back home failed to lift sentiment.
Meanwhile in the New Delhi bullion market, gold recovered by Rs 80 to Rs 30,330 per 10 grams while silver rebounded by Rs 430 to Rs 55,180 per kg.
