Suspected Naxal nabbed in Odisha

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Aug 5 : A suspected Naxalite was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) along with arms and ammunition in Malkangiri area of Odisha, a BSF official said.

Machilingam, resident of Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, was apprehended by BSF's 61 Battalion troopers during a special operation.

"The suspected Naxal was apprehended during a special operation launched by BSF troopers Aug 3-4 at Diga Janbhai area in Malkangiri. The force recovered six country made guns, one assembled rifle butt and 400 grams ofiron balls from him," BSF spokesperson Tirtha Acharya told IANS.
