Kolkata police arrest man for attempting to molest woman techie on train

Kolkata, July 27 : Kolkata Police have arrested the man who tried to allegedly molest a woman techie aboard a train on Sunday, forcing her to jump out.

The accused identified as Debshankar Sau, was arrested from Uttarpara in Hoogly district yesterday.

The 25-year-old woman had jumped off the train at Belur, a few kilometres from Howrah.

She suffered injuries to her head and hands and locals found her in an unconscious state near the railway track.

She was then shifted to a hospital where West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited her and offered to cover all her medical expenses.
