Wipro projects higher IT revenue for Q2

Bangalore, July 26 : Wipro Ltd projected higher revenue in dollar terms from its flagship global IT services business for the second quarter (July-Sep) of fiscal 2013-14 at USD 1.63 billion on an average.


In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the IT bellwether said revenues from its IT services business would be in the range of USD 1,620-1,650 million in the second quarter against USD 1,588 million it posted in first quarter (April-June).

"We are seeing higher confidence among our clients on the backdrop of positive macroeconomic developments, particularly in the US," Wipro chairman Azim Premji said in a statement here after the company announced its financial results for the quarter under review after the stock exchanges closed for the day.
