Intex launches Cloud X3

Kolkata, July 26 : Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing mobile phones, IT Accessories and electronic products company, on Friday nationally announced the strategic alliance with MediaTek with the launch of Cloud X3, which is powered by technologically advanced integrated chipset: MT6572.

Equipped with MT6572, the world's first dual-core SoC with integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth functions, Intex reportedly became the first Indian brand to introduce these customized chipsets in its latest smartphone: Cloud X3.

This technology will further simplify and enhance the user experience for the smartphone users in the country.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobility Division, Intex Technologies (I) Ltd., said; "Growing at a rapid pace of 167 percent annually, the smartphone market in India is poised to see a robust growth where the major contribution will be seen from the entry level smartphone users.

"Building on this burgeoning market, Intex offers its latest smartphone Cloud X3 that is especially designed to meet the need of entry level users who would like to migrate to a more sophisticated mobile experience."

Intex is targeting a revenue growth of more than 400 per cent this fiscal from mobile vertical with smartphones being the contribution driver.

With the launch of new range of smartphones, Intex aims to meet the business volume targets of 20 million pieces in this current fiscal. The company also plans to extend the entry level Smartphone range to 10 models by September.
