Raje starts 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra'

Udaipur, Apr 4 : In an attempt to gain support ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly polls, former state Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Thursday started the 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra' from Charbhujaji temple in Rajasthan's Udaipur city.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh flagged off the yatra (tour).

Led by state BJP President Raje, the tour will cover more then 200 places in 33 districts in the north Indian state.

In the first phase, the 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra' will cover a distance of 1,380 kms in Udaipur division till Apr 16.

Senior leaders of the party will address mass meetings during the tour.

Assembly polls are due in Rajasthan later this year.
