Swine flu kills woman in Bhopal

Bhopal, Apr 4 : A middle-aged woman succumbed to swine flu in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal on Wednesday, said health officials on Thursday.

"The woman, 52, was diagnosed for swine flu on Monday. She was brought from her Hoshangabad residence to Bhopal for treatment the same day. She died yesterday," said a state health department official on conditions of anonymity.

He said five people have died of H1N1 influenza in the state so far this year.

Of the five deaths, two were from Bhopal, two from Hoshangabad and one from Sehore.

"26 people have tested positive (for swine flu) in Bhopal," the official said.
