Dubai honours 110 public transport drivers

Dubai, July 23 (IANS/WAM) A total of 110 public vehicle, commercial transport and inter-city drivers in Dubai have been honoured by the Public Transport Corporation at the Roads and Transport Authority for dedication to their daily tasks.

The drivers were honoured for their behaviour, said to be of high-class and discipline, with passengers of public transportation. They were also lauded for their compliance with traffic rules that reflect the civilized image of Dubai.

There were four categories -- 83 drivers got the Outstanding Driver Award, while five were honoured in the Honest Driver category, and 20 drivers were given the "mystery shopper" award. Two drivers were honoured for getting the highest revenue.
