Oil price: Indian Basket rises sharply

New Delhi, Apr 3 : The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published on Wednesday by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas rose sharply to USUSD 108.74/barrel (bbl) on Apr 2.

This was higher than the price of USUSD 107.18/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of Mar 28.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5907.84 /bbl on Apr 2 as compared to Rs 5829.52/bbl on Mar 28.

This was due to price increase in dollar terms.

Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Apr 2 was Rs 54.33/USUSD against Rs 54.39/USUSD on previous trading day of Mar 28.
