CCI reveals Spring Summer cotton trends

Mumbai, Apr 3 : Cotton Council International (CCI), a non-profit trade organization devoted to the promotion of cotton in India, revealed the hottest cotton Spring Summer 2013 trends at this year's India Fashion Forum.

"Spring-Summer is the perfect time to celebrate cotton, the only fabric that loves you back! This season, Cotton Council International gives you a detailed account on what to wear by highlighting the latest cotton trends. Sheers, Cut-Outs, Camouflage prints, Prints, Crop Tops and Metallic are the latest takeaway cotton trends for Spring Summer 2013," said an official spokesperson on Wednesday.

Keeping in mind the overwhelming feeling of coolness and comfort this season, Sheers are the perfect attire in this summer heat, said CCI.

"Not only does it highlight the delicate aspect of feminine look, seer sucker cotton allows this trend to have a resort like feeling. With cotton's versatility of fit and fall, Cut-Out trends are also a huge hit as it makes the look flowy and structured at the same time," the spokesperson said.

"Camouflage prints are hot this season. Camouflage print cotton canvass bags are ideal accessory if you want to add some depth to your overall look," said the spokesperson.

Prints are another trend to complement that healthy summer glow. Spring summer is high on birds and florals in bright hues like canary yellow or kingfisher blue and what best but cotton, the only fabric that breathes and absorbs colors, said CCI.

Crop Tops is yet another trend that has stylishly trickled down from last summer, making waves this time round too, said CCI. "Beat the summer heat with crop tops in cotton jersey for the cool casual look or for a more glamorous evening look make it cotton velvet."

"Add some fun to your wardrobe and shine bright like a diamond with Metallic this summer. Try on the coated film cotton or the lurex ones in Metallic that are not only comfortable but stylish at the same time," the spokesperson said.
