Car carnival woos Kolkatans

By Shubhrima Dutta, Kolkata, July 14 : Walk in to drive out is the offer this weekend in Kolkata as Prologue Eventus Saturday launched a Mega CAR CARNIVAL- 2013.


The carnival is being held at the F.D. Block Ground in Salt Lake on July 13 and 14. Various automobile companies like Tata, Mahindra, Skoda, Toyota, Ford, Mitsubishi are participating here.

A look-touch-feel-drive experience awaits customers trooping in as more than 40 cars by the major auto makers is being showcased at this car carnival. From small cars to the latest mudpluggers like Toyota's Fortuner and Ford's EcoSport, the fair will have them all including premium sedans too. The SUVs and the latest entrants in the market are sure to be crowd-pullers.

TATA showcased its VISTA which is a stylish Hatchback thoughtfully designed for families who prefer spacious vehicles along with world's least priced car, the Tata NANO.

Tata also presented its MANZA. The Tata SAFARI was also on display which has always been a legendary vehicle and is the first SUV to be developed, designed produced and manufactured by Tata Motors entirely in India.

FORD displayed its Ford FIGO which is a subcompact automobile and the Ford FIESTA as well. It also exhibited its urban SUV ECOSPORTS.



On the other hand, SKODA showcased its RAPID which is a well packaged premium sedan that offers good mileage and its muscular SUV, Skoda YETI which is a premium SUV and has been fitted with some awe inspiring comfort and safety features in it. TOYOTA also participated in this carnival by showcasing the Toyota FORTUNER which is one of the quintessential SUV available at an affordable price.

Addressing the media Tamaghna Das, CEO, Prologue Eventus said, "The auto carnival is providing us an opportunity to reach out to a larger audience and we are looking forward to a great response. The fair is giving us good leads that we have managed to convert into sales with various spot bookings too taking place at this carnival."

Customers can visit the Carnival to buy, sell or exchange pre owned cars. They can also avail of value added services such as on the spot evaluation of vehicles and insurance. Items ranging from spare car parts of old automobiles, accessories, books and manuals will displayed for sale at this two day Car Carnival.
