Pondy DMK condemns CBI raid on Stalin's house

Puducherry, Mar 21 : The Puducherry unit of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) today strongly condemned the Congress government at the centre for the CBI raid at the residence of DMK leader M K Stalin today.

In a statement here, DMK State Convenor MAS Subramanian charged the Congress Government with utilising the CBI as its 'agent' against the opposition parties.

He said DMK President M Karunanidhi had strongly supported the cause of the Sri Lankan Tamils through the formation of TESO and Mr Stalin had taken up the issue at the UN.

Despite the insistance from the DMK, the Congress Government indirectly supported Sri Lanka in the US-sponsored UN resolution and diluted the entire thing, he alleged.

Unable to tolerate this and the brutal attack of Sri Lankan Navy on Tamil Nadu fishermen time and again, the DMK had pulled out from the Congress-led UPA government, he said.

Subsequent to this, AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh directed a CBI raid at the residence of Mr Stalin, he alleged.

With this, the Congress government at the centre once again proved it's anti-Tamil sentiments and the people will teach the Congress a fitting lesson, he claimed.
