CBI is puppet in govt hands: YSRCP

Hyderabad, Mar 21 : Charging that CBI and other law enforcing agencies were working at the behest of the Centre, YSR Congress party today said their stand was vindicated with the raids on MK Stalin's residence in Tamil Nadu.

Talking to reporters here, party PAC member DA Somayajulu said ''We have been telling time and again that CBI, ED, IB and other institutions are being misused to settle political scores

by the UPA.''

government at the Centre, CBI conducted searches at 19 places, including party leader Stalin's house, he added.

The sudden u-turn by CBI after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Ministers P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibbal and Kamalnath reacted sharply to the CBI act, proves the point that the premier investigation agency is working at the behest of the Centre, he alleged.

More than the raids, the retreat of CBI proves that it is working under the direct control of the UPA Government and it has no autonomy of any kind, he added.
