Ex-Man U defender Gary Neville's father arrested for allegations of sexual assault

London, Mar 27 : The father of Premier League footballers Gary and Phil Neville has been arrested over allegations of sexual assault.

Detectives questioned Neville Neville on Sunday over an allegation of sexual assault in Bury, Greater Manchester Police sources confirmed on Wednesday, the Daily Express reports.

The 63-year-old former football agent and league cricketer has since been bailed pending further inquiries, the paper said.

A spokeswoman for GMP said police are investigating a sexual assault, which happened in the early hours of Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the North Manor area of Bury, adding a 63-year-old man from Bury was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and has been bailed till May pending further inquiries and inquiries are on-going.
