Bengal ranks 2nd in power distribution sector

Kolkata, Mar 20 : West Bengal has been ranked second among 20 states in India's power distribution sector.

The First Integrated Rating of power discoms,which was unveiled in Delhi on March 19, gave West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited(WBSEDCL) 'A' rating for its high operational and financial performance, an official statement today said.

The rating exercise was co-ordinated by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) under the aegis of Ministry of Power and was executed by ICRA and CARE.
