Delhi Metro firing: Accused commits suicide

New Delhi, Mar. 27 : The man who killed his wife and injured his father-in-law at the Kakardooma Metro station on Tuesday, has committed suicide in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

According to a Times Now report, the body of Pawan, the accused was found hanging from a tree near a railway station.

A day before, Pawan had shot his 32-year-old wife Deepti dead near an escalator at the Karkardooma Metro station, as she and her father were returning home after attending a court case related to her marriage.

According to the police, Pawan had stolen his father's .12 bore double-barrel gun to kill Deepti and grievously injure his 58-year-old father-in-law Bhishma Singh.

The latter is battling for his life in hospital.

Police said Pawan and Deepti were married nine years ago, and the marriage turned sour after Pawan could not find meaningful employment.
