EU to use maiden Indian technology to analyse blood disorder
Kolkata, Mar 21 : For the first time in the history of country's medical technology,an Indian company has designed and manufactured a unique Hematology Analyser for exporting to the European Union.
Cellenium 19,a CE certified hematology analyser is the first Indian designed and manufactured Hematology Analyzer to be exported to the European Union, official sources here today said.
Hematology Analyzer is a device used to analyze blood disorders or blood counts for critical patients. The device was expected to put Indian medical equipment manufacturing sector on a global map, the sources claimed.
Largely used in major laboratories and clinics,Cellenium 19 was poised to ensure smooth compliance to national and international accreditations like NABH, NABL and CAP. For India based users of Cellenium 19, this development meant a complete assurance of operator safety and harmonisation with internationally accepted clinical standards, the sources added.
Commenting on the new development, Dr G S K Velu, Chairman Trivitron Healthcare, the largest Indian MNC in medical technology which has invented the device, said Cellenium 19 was already being exported to the Middle East and the ASEAN countries and with its CE certification it has now opened its door for export to all European Union countries through Trivitron's newly acquired Trivitron-Ani Labsystems, Finland.
