Fergie assigns Cantona to find French chateau post-retirement

London, May 12 : Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is reportedly looking forward to spend time in South France with his family after retirement for which he has signed former international footballer Eric Cantona as his estate agent.

The winner of four Premier League titles and two FA Cup doubles for United, Cantona has been an iconic figure at the Old Trafford where he moved from Leeds United in 1992, the Daily Star reports.

According to the report, Ferguson wants the perfect retreat in France where he and his wife can enjoy the French hospitality for six months in a year.

The report also said that Ferguson intends to spend around 2 million pounds to invest in a vineyard, adding that Cantona is more than happy to be involved in the couple's new life in France.

The report further said that Cantona, who is now an actor, will help them find the right location for a good home but also one which is near to a viable vineyard for letting the Scot indulge in his passion for wining.

The couple also intends to keep their 4 million pounds mansion in England, to make it easier for them to make trips to visit their family, the report added.
