Proteas to be mentored by 'daredevil' adventurer ahead of Champions Trophy

Johannesburg, May 7 : The South African cricket team is reportedly set to helped with the mental aspect of their game by an adventurer and motivational speaker as they prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy in England in June.

The daredevil Mike Horn, who had helped the team on various aspects of their physical and mental strengths last year when they prepared for a Test series in England, will once again assist them at a week-long training camp in the Netherlands at the end of this month, Sport24 reports.

According to the report, after the session with Horn last year, South Africa went on to defeat England in the Test series and also took the No 1 ranking from their opponents.

The report further said that the team will face the Netherlands in a warm-up game in Amstelveen on May 31, and also clash with Pakistan at the Oval in London on June 3.

This year's edition will be the final version of the ICC Champions Trophy. South Africa won the very first one, in 1998, which remains the Proteas' only noteworthy limited overs title, the report added.
