After England, now Taiwanese animators mock Australia's cricket melt down
Sydney, Mar 21 : Taiwanese animators have followed the footsteps of English media by mocking Australian cricket's current turmoil in a new cartoon video.
The cartoon, produced by Next Media Animation, is a fairly spot-on summary of how the mighty Aussies have fallen from the lofty heights of the last two decades, News.com.au reports.
It starts by fondly remembering the glory days of Ricky Ponting, Shane Warne and David Boon, as they steered the Australian juggernaut to victory after victory, unceremoniously ramming the Brits and Indians off the road in the process, the paper said.
Boon's legendary drinking exploits also merit a mention, as he's shown polishing off a few dozen VBs while airborne, presumably on a flight to London, it added.
The nation's captain and vice-captain don't get on and Shane Warne dickied up in a tuxedo and walking a designer pooch is, to the horror of all concerned, now a fully-fledged metro sexual, the paper reported.
Coach Mickey Arthur cops a ribbing, with his team of naughty schoolboys now expected to cop their latest spanking from Alastair Cook's England in the Ashes, it concluded.
