Cricketing world congratulates India

New Delhi, March 24 : After a thumping 4-0 triumph over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India was congratulated on the social networking site Twitter by several cricketers Sunday.


"Congrats boys, well done. Njoy it big time, a well-deserved whitewash," tweeted opening batsman Gautam Gambhir, who is currently out of the team due to jaundice.

Legendary Australian pace bowler Glenn Mcgrath said: "A very convincing win to India. India totally dominated the series. Aussies have a lot of work to do before the Ashes. Congratulations India."

Out of favour pace bowler Zaheer Khan also congratulated the team.

"Congratulations team INDIA on a great series win !!"

Former India opener Aakash Chopra also lauded the outstanding result: "Lost all the tosses but won all the matches. Outstanding result for India. Well done :) #IndvAus"

One of the greatest spinners of all time, Shane Warne also applauded India's performance.

"Congrats to India on the series win and the way their young players have played..."

Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar said: "Winning 4-0 is no mean feat... and that is how this series win has to be looked at... Well done India !!"

This was the first time India whitewashed a series 4-0.
