Omar Abdullah praises Jammu and Kashmir team over Ranji performance

By Saleem Iqbal Qadri, Jammu, Jan 12 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday appreciated state cricket team for showing good performance in the Ranji Trophy.


He said the team and skipper Parvez Rasool showed good performance in the entire quarter-final game against Punjab which it lost by 100 runs.

Omar tweeted: "J&K did an amazing job under their skipper Parvez #Rasool to reach the quarters of the #RanjiTrophy. You made us proud guys, well."

Jammu and Kashmir had qualified for the quarter-final of the domestic cricket tournament after a gap of more than 10 years.

Punjab beat Jammu and Kashmir by 100 runs to reach the semi-finals on Sunday.

Parvez Rasool said, "We will show better performance in next season."
