Actress Suchitra Sen very critical

Kolkata, Jan 12 : Iconic Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, who was admitted to Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata with respiratory tract infection remains in critical condition after her breathing difficulties increased.


According to doctors treating her, Sen's condition is deteriorating and she is failing to breathe naturally.

Bengali channels also reported that the actress has requested the doctors in gestures to remove the oxygen pipe from her.

However, her cardiac condition is stable.

Sen has been put under non-invasive ventilator support.

The 82-year-old actress was shifted from a general bed to critical care unit (CCU) late on Dec 29 night.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the hospital again on Saturday for the fourth time to enquire about her health.
