Actress Suchitra Sen critical but stable

Kolkata, Jan 11 : Iconic Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, who was admitted to Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata with respiratory tract infection, condition has stabilized, said doctors on Saturday.


According to doctors treating her, Sen's condition deteriorated on Friday afternoon, but stabilized later in the evening.

She is still not out of danger, they said.

A medical bulletin stated that her dependence and demand of oxygen still remains high.

However, her cardiac condition is stable.

According to media reports, the actress is not properly responding to medicines.

Sen has been put under non-invasive ventilator support.

The 82-year-old actress was shifted from a general bed to critical care unit (CCU) late on Dec 29 night.
