'Jesus Christ' arrested 40 times and banned from Britain

London, Jan 9 : A Brazilian man was arrested 40 times and banned from Britain for claiming to be Jesus Christ.

Inri Cristo's sermons on capitalism and abortion have landed him in prison cells, the Daily Star reported.

The 66-year-old man claimed to be Jesus in a previous life and even dresses up in the same clothes since 1979, right from the hair and beard.

Cristo said that a voice spoke to him in his head when he was a little boy but he found out during a religious fast in Santiago, Chile about being the son of God.

Now the preacher has amassed followers from all around the world and he runs his own church on farmland outside Brazil's capital, Brasilia, where he gets around on a motorised scooter.
