Bengali entertainment channel Aakash Aath, on Tuesday announced the launch of a new comedy serial 'Ghhente Gha' which is based on the stories written by writer Sanjib Chattopadhyay.

It is based on the stories like Sakha Prosakha, Sofa Cum Bed and Lota Kombol etc.

The serial is very witty and the story revolves around the Chatterjee family. The serial has been directed by Manish Ghosh.

The cast includes Sabitri Chatterjee, Shubhashis Mukherjee, Chaiti Ghoshal, Shubhashish Banerjee, and many other well known actors.

A clipping was shown of how the actual serial has to offer something new.

Manish Ghosh said: "It is a comedy serial based on the Chatterjee family of North Kolkata. The serial does not only consist of comedy but also showcases the acting skills of the cast. The USP of the serial is comedy".

Scriptwriter Padmanabha Dasgupta said, "I was inspired by the author Sanjib Chattopadhyay, who is a legend. He has a good sense of humour even in small events and looks at a different angle. The serial is made in a proper order so that the audiences will like to watch it".

Sabitri Chatterjee one of the senior most actress said: "Ghhente Gha, the name itself is catchy. My character apart from comedy also has an emotional side to it".

Ghhente Gha is going to be aired from Jan 13.
