The Indian leg of the world championship took place in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ranchi and Indore, where the city qualifiers took place.
After taking the hunt to these 16 cities, Red Bull Campus Cricket has now reached the regional finals stage.
Lucknow's Guru Govind Sports College, Indore's Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Kolkata's St. Xavier's College and Marwari College from Ranchi will play against each other in the regional finals at FC Block Grounds in Kolkata's Salt Lake area from Jan 8 to Jan 10.
This year, the championship follows a new structure of city-wise qualifiers followed by the regional round, finally leading to the national finals.
Four best colleges from each city will now battle it out to represent their city in the regional finals.
Two of the top performing teams from each zone will get to travel to the National finals. These eight teams will play knock-out rounds of quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
The national champions from India then compete with teams from other countries in the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Series Championship.
