Bipasha Basu, Irrfan Khan share b'days

Mumbai, Jan 7 : Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu and actor Irrfan khan shared their birthdays on Tuesday.


While the former turned turned 35 years of age, Irrfan turned 47.

Going by her Twitter post, Bipasha seemed to have partied last night with her family and friends to celebrate her birthday.

Posting a party picture of her on Twitter, the Bong beauty tweeted: "Wat a night!Phewwww!Love my family n friends:)"

Bipasha debuted in a negative role in the film 'Ajnabee' in 2001, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

The actress tasted commercial success with films like 'Raaz', 'Jism', 'No Entry', 'Phir Hera Pheri', and Dhoom 2'.

Her performances in certain films such as 'Apaharan', 'Corporate' and 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' won her much critical praise and multiple nominations for several awards.

Roles apart, she is renowned for her item songs like "Phoonk De" in 'No Smoking', and "Beedi" and "Namak Ishq Ka" in 'Omkara' among others.

Last year, the actress was seen in the films 'Aatma' and 'Race 2'.

As she turned a year older, she has her kitty full of upcoming films including: 'Humshakals', 'Creature 3D', 'Most Welcome 2', 'Bang Bang', and 'No Entry Mein Entry'.

Irrfan on the other hand started his career with television serials like 'Chanakya', 'Bharat Ek Khoj', 'Sara Jahan Hamara',' Banegi Apni Baat', 'Chandrakanta' (Doordarshan), 'AnooGoonj' on Doordarshan, 'Star Bestsellers' (Star Plus), and 'Sparsh'.

After many unsuccessful films, Irrfan rose to popularity when London-based director Asif Kapadia gave him the lead in the film 'The Warrior', a historical film completed in 11 weeks on location in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. In 2001, 'The Warrior' opened in international film festivals.

His acting skills and choice of films won him wide critical appreciations. Some of his notable performances in Hindi films includes 'Maqbool', 'Haasil', 'Metro', 'D-Day' and 'Lunch Box' among others.

Besides Bollywood, the actor is also known for his works in British Indian films, Hollywood ventures, and a Telugu film 'Sainikudu'.

He played the police inspector in the 2008 film 'Slumdog Millionaire', for which he and the cast of the movie won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Irrfan's performance in the bipic 'Paan Singh Tomar' garnered him the the National Film Award for Best Actor.

Some of his Hollywood ventures include 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and 'Life of Pi'.

The actor will be seen next in the upcoming Bollywood film 'Gunday'.
