BCCI congratulates U-19 team

Mumbai, Jan 4 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday congratulated the Indian U-19 team for winning the Asia Cup tournament by defeating Pakistan in the final.


"The Indian under-19 team has excelled itself. Hearty congratulations to them for winning the Asia Cup," said BCCI president N Srinivasan.

BCCI honorary secretary Sanjay Patel also congratulated the team for winning the under-19 Asia Cup.

BCCI Joint Secretary Anurag Thakur commending the team said: "Our under-19 boys have done us proud, once again. Hearty congratulations to them. We are confident that they will repeat this showing in the forthcoming ICC under-19 World Cup."

In Sharjah India's Vijay Zol and Sanju Samson hammered centuries to help the side defeat arch-rivals Pakistan by 40 runs in the final to lift the Under-19 Asia Cup on Saturday.
