Telegu actor Uday Kiran commits suicide
Telugu actor Uday Kiran has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his flat at Srinagar colony in Punjagutta here, the police said on Monday.
Kiran's parents and his wife found his body hanging from the ceiling of his flat on Sunday night.
He was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
According to reports, the 33-year-old actor was alone at his home. His wife, who was out on some work, grew suspicious as Kiran was not responding to her phone calls and rushed home only to find him dead.
Kiran made his debut it the film 'Chitram' in 2000 and followed it up with two hit films 'Nuvvu Nenu' and 'Manasantha Nuvve'. These successes which earned him the title "Hat-trick Hero".
In 2001, he became one of the youngest to receive a Filmfare award for best actor for his role in 'Nuvvu Nenu'.
Kiran was engaged to actor-politician Chiranjeevi's daughter Sushmitha in 2003, but the relationship did not work out.
He married his long time friend Vishitha on Oct 24, 2012.
The actor was last seen in the film 'Jai Sriram', which released in April last year. He had also recently signed a project titled 'Dhil Kabbadi'.
