Fight not with BJP but RSS, says Jairam Ramesh

New Delhi, Jan. 5 : Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh on Sunday said that the 2014 election was not a fight between the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) and Congress but between the Congress and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

"In 2014 elections, the fight is not between BJP and Congress but Congress and RSS as BJP's key is in the hands of RSS," he said.

He added that Modi was a hypocrite as he always said something and did something else.

"On one side Narendra Modi says that he is against corruption but on the other side he welcomes Yeddyurappa in his party. Modi says one thing and does something else," he said.

He further said that Modi should apologize for what happened in 2002 riots.

"Instead of making someone write his blog the person should rather apologise for what happened in the 2002 riots," he said.

Furthermore, he said that the Aam Aadmi Party has changed the discourse of politics.

"AAP has changed the discourse of politics and if other parties like the BJP, Congress and JDU will not listen to the common man, they will get a defeat," said Jairam Ramesh.

"We have to bring a change in our politics and it is a necessary step that should be taken by all the political parties as we want a corruption free India. These elections will be fought on the basis of thought process not between parties and people," he said.
