Kate Winslet likes playing ordinary characters to avoid make-up hassle

Washington, Jan 5 : Kate Winslet has confessed that she likes playing characters who aren't supposed to look beautiful, as she hates sitting in the make-up chair for long hours.

The 38-year-old actress told Glamour magazine that she loves asking make-up artists not to make her look nice or to make her face look rounder.

The 'Titanic' star said that it's less to think about if her look is raw and it means less being fiddled with by make-up artists.

She added that this way she gets the best of both worlds - that side of it for her job and the dressing up bit for the red carpet.
