Actress Raima Sen on Saturday said the health of iconic Bengali actress and her grandmother Suchitra Sen, who was admitted to Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata with respiratory tract infection, is 'better'.

"My grandma is better .. Thank you for your prayers . . Keep praying," Raima tweeted.

Suchitra Sen's another grand daughter Riya Sen, who is also a Bollywood actress, tweeted: "Thanks to everyone whose prayers are with my beautiful gran, we're doing everything we can to ensure she's comfortable."

Sen was put under non-invasive ventilator support after her condition deteriorated on Friday.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee , who visited Belle Vue Clinic on Friday, said the iconic Bengali actress is stable.

"The doctors treating her (Sen) told me that she is stable now," said Banerjee.

The 82-year-old actress was shifted from a general bed to critical care unit (CCU) late on Dec 29 night.
